Recycled Aprons – The Big & Little Foodies Collection

Waste-free, handmade, and crafted with love — our unisex adjustable aprons are created by Grandma Sita and VAER in Copenhagen. Each apron is thoughtfully made using discarded tablecloths from the hospitality industry, pockets fashioned from unwanted jeans, and naturally dyed with food waste such as avocado pits and peels. This process not only reduces textile waste but also celebrates creativity and resourcefulness.

By turning materials that would otherwise be discarded into beautiful, functional kitchenware, this collection embodies the principles of circular fashion and sustainable living. Designed for versatility and longevity, the aprons feature adjustable straps for a comfortable fit across all ages and genders.

Supporting sustainable consumption, this collection promotes resource efficiency, waste reduction, and handcrafted quality in everyday kitchen wear. These aprons offer a fun and eco-conscious way to engage with daily cooking while minimizing environmental impact.

Memory Mobile Game – Eat the Pair

Created with love by Grandma Sita in collaboration with HackYourFuture Denmark, this memory game blends tradition, technology, and play to create a unique digital experience.

"Eat the Pair" is an innovative tool for celebrating and preserving culinary heritage. Designed to be both fun and educational, the game centers around traditional foods. In the Danish version, players are invited to match various types of Smørrebrød and Wienerbrød, while uncovering cultural facts and learning about the values of sustainable eating.

More than just entertainment, this memory game is a playful gateway to sustainability, education, and cultural preservation—accessible to players of all ages. "Eat the Pair" is an innovative, joyful way to honour and preserve culinary heritage — one tasty pair at a time.

Cooking Challenge – A grandchild in my kitchen

Grandma Sita’s playful culinary challenge brings different generations together to reinvent classic family dishes with a plant-based twist. It’s all about mixing tradition with creativity in the kitchen!

Each grandchild contributes traditional recipes from their own countries and cultures to Grandma Sita’s kitchen. From this rich exchange, we work together to give these dishes a fresh spin: adding more fruits and vegetables, reducing food waste, and preserving those authentic flavors that connect us to family memories.

The goal is to blend tradition with creativity in the kitchen, showing that it’s possible to care for our health, the planet, and our wallets without sacrificing taste or the cherished memories tied to food.

Beyond the recipes, this challenge promotes sustainability, cultural heritage, and learning through food. It’s a delicious way to honor the past while cooking up a better future.
