Because nothing says spooky season like a bubbling cauldron full of autumn colours and plant-based goodness.🌱
Autumn Magic: The Power of Seasonal Produce
Autumn is harvest time — nature’s grand finale before winter. Markets fill with pumpkins, sweet potatoes, carrots, leeks, cabbages, apples, and pears — each packed with flavour, nutrients, and stories from the land.
Cooking with seasonal produce not only brings out the best taste and freshness, but also supports local farmers and reduces food miles. In the Witch Sita kitchen, every veggie and fruit has a magical power: carrots for vision, leeks for cleansing, apples for love, and pumpkins for protection. 🧙♀️
Witchy Zero-Waste Tip
Save veggie peels and scraps for broth or compost — there’s nothing spooky about making the most of your food! Because even witches cook sustainably.
Fun Fact: The Origins of Halloween
Samhain (or Samaín, in Galician) is a Gaelic word pronounced “SAH-win” — and it’s where Halloween comes from! This ancient Celtic festival marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter, when people believed the veil between worlds grew thin. Fires were lit and food shared to honour ancestors — traditions that inspired modern Halloween. In Galicia and other places along the Atlantic, this tradition is still alive… Emigrants brought it to North America, where it eventually evolved into the Halloween we know today.🧟♀️👻
A Legend to Remember
They say that whoever tastes Witch Sita’s magic plant-based soups falls in love with autumn forever!
Celebrating Halloween in an eco-friendly, zero-waste way is not only possible and affordable — it’s also a delicious step towards caring for our planet while keeping traditions alive.
A true win-win for people and planet.
